Beware of fraudulent sellers and buyers, exercise caution at all times.

- BUYERS:

- Ask to transfer money into their accounts and later cancel the deal for a refund (money laundering)

- Offer fake goods and high value cashier’s cheques/ checks in exchange for the item. And ask you to transfer the remainder/ balance to them.

Bank often cash these checks but hold you personally responsible should the check fail to clear or is declined.

We strongly advise you to not wire or transfer money for very often, such scams are usually involving a 3rd party like, business associate,

shipping agent to name a few.

- They will recommend to pay with an international credit card or cashier’s check.

- Place large orders to be sent to unfamiliar locations.

- Offer a deposit/ down payment and the balance of delivery.

- Provide you with bogus details and refuse to give verifiable ones.

- Refuse to come to your desired location and insist on private or unfamiliar locations (we suggest you use a Police station for exchange location)

- Give you a different address to listed one.

- Sell the same item in different classified systems.

- Sell an expensive item at incredibly low price.

- Refuse to come to your desired location and insist on private or unfamiliar locations (we suggest you use a Police station for exchange location)

TIP – BUY IN YOUR COUNTRY Only or FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

Be very careful when advised to use Wire transfer, Money gram, Bank transfers, rather don’t, because buyers don’t get their money back.

Look into using Postal money orders as they can easily be investigated. Payment services/ methods like Pay Pal/ Escrow.com/

C.O.D shipments/ online payments can offer some amount of fraud protection. Do some research first. Don’t just use any system available.

Monitor the shipment progress by constantly enquiring with your waybill/ shipment number as to how far the shipment is.

Know the seller’s shipping company and don’t just use any shipment tracking companies as some could be fake/ fraudulent.
