The Cultural Carnival Event, is a international cultural and family celebration. Aimed at the promotion of Cultures around the world. CCE does not permit or allow misconduct caused by individuals or groups, who for the sake of fun or any other reason, abuse others. Whether under the influence or not.

  • CARRY CELL PHONE OR PHONE CARD – EMERGENCIES DO HAPPEN AND THE ABILITY TO CHECK IN IS ALWAYS GOOD.
  • CARNIVAL INVOLVES A LOT OF WALKING. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES, E.G SNEAKERS/ TREKKING SANDALS.
  • ASK FOR ASSISTANCE IF YOU NEED IT. THERE ARE MANY UNIFORMED MARSHALS, POLICE, GUARDS, TOURISM OFFICERS ETC AVAILABLE TO DIRECT AND HELP YOU.
  • BRING A HAT / CAP IN CASE IT GETS TOO HOT.
  • CARRY ID WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES.
  • CARRY WITH YOU A POUCH, SECURED IN A SAFE SPOT ON YOUR PERSON. THIS MAY SOUND LIKE INCONVENIENCE, BUT IT DOES COME IN HANDY.
  • CARRY your SUNGLASSES FOR THE MIDDAY SUN glare.
  • DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS/ WATER – YOU CAN REALLY GET DEHYDRATED, MAKE SURE to TAKE WATER WITH YOU OR PURCHASE BOTTLED WATER.
  • FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS. IF IT FEELS RIGHT, DO IT. IF IT FEELS WRONG, DON’T DO IT.

  • TAKE SOME SUNSCREEN– YOU NEED TO REAPPLY THIS STUFF SO TAKE SOME WITH YOU.
  • TRY THE LOCAL CUISINE STREET VENDORS, JUST REMEMBER TO LOOK FOR THE FOOD HANDLER’S LICENSE.
  • USE COMMON SENSE AND ENJOY YOURSELF.
  • WALK WITH A WAVING IMPLEMENT (RAG, HANDKERCHIEF, FLAG ETC) TO CATCH SOMEONE’S ATTENTION OR WIPE SWEAT WITH.
  • WALK WITH EXTRA MONEY – FOR A TAXI TO GET BACK HOME OR TO YOUR HOTEL.
  • WEAR LIGHT AND COMFORTABLE CLOTHES.
  • DON’T- GO PLACES OUTSIDE THE VENUE WITH STRANGERS.
  • DON’T FLASH LARGE SUMS OF CASH.
  • DON’T GET INTO STRANGER’S CARS FOR THE SAKE OF A LIFT. RATHER REPORT TO PARK’S OFFICE FOR BUS SCHEDULE OR ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS.
  • DON’T WALK ALONE IN BUSHY OR DARK AREAS. USE THE LIT WALKWAYS.
  • DON’T WEAR EXPENSIVE JEWELRY.
  • EMERGENCY MONEY – EVEN IN AN ALL INCLUSIVE SECTION YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT NEED.
  • KEEP A GRANDPA/ PANADO/ ADVIL OR YOUR MEDICINE/ PAINKILLER OF CHOICE.
  • WEAR YOUR MEDICAL BRACELET.
  • KEEP SOME TISSUES WITH YOU– THEY REALLY COME HANDY
